The concept of payroll area and period parameters remains the same no matter you are using English or Hindi Calendar.
Payroll Area would group together the employees for whom you want to execute the payroll with the same frequency and on the same day. Period paramters specifies the frequency with which payroll is run. So for all the payroll areas which run monthly you give the same period parameter or for the ones that run bi-monthly you give the same period parameter and so on.
The only thing that you would have to ensure is that you define the payroll period for each period paramter as per your hindi calendar dates. For example, table T549Q would mention the start date and end date of payroll period for Vaisakha as 21.04.2014 to 21.05.2014. Also the pay and posting dates in T549S would have to be generated accrodingly.
